Important Disclaimers

Essence Healthcare is a Medicare Advantage organization with a Medicare contract. All Essence plans include Part D drug coverage. To enroll in an Essence plan, you must have both Medicare Parts A and B and reside in the Missouri counties of Boone, Jefferson, St. Charles, St. Louis, or St. Louis City, or in the Illinois counties of Madison, Monroe, or St. Clair.

Please note that as an Essence member, you must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium. Enrollment in an Essence plan may be limited to specific times of the year. The benefit information provided is a brief summary, not a complete description of benefits. For more information, contact the plan. Benefits, formulary, pharmacy network, premium and/or co-payments or co-insurance may change on January 1 of each year.

Members must use plan providers except in emergency or urgent care situations. If a member obtains routine care from an out-of-network provider without prior approval from Essence, neither Medicare or Essence will be responsible for the costs.

Plan performance star ratings are assessed each year and may change from one year to the next.
