Enrolling in Essence is Easy!
You can enroll in Essence in one of two ways:
- Enroll in Essence directly through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS) Online Enrollment Center.
- OR request an Essence Enrollment Application in the mail to fill out and return to our Member Services Department.
1. To enroll in Essence online via the CMS website, click on the following link:

a. Verify that you're eligible. If you are entitled to Medicare benefits under Part A and enrolled in Part B, and you reside in our service area, you are eligible to join Essence. The first step is to request an Essence Enrollment Application. You can call us at the phone numbers listed at the bottom of this page or fill out the following form. If you have any questions, please call us or enter your email address/phone number in the form below. We will contact you within 24 hours or one business day.
b. Complete the Essence Application and mail the top and middle copies (white and yellow) in the postage-paid envelope. Keep the bottom copy (pink) for your records. Before you start, have your Medicare Card handy. Be sure to read, completely fill out, and sign the application where indicated. While your application provides step-by-step instructions, please don't hesitate to call if you need help. That's why we're here.
c. Look for your written confirmation that we've received your application and are processing it. You should receive this confirmation within days of our receiving your completed application. Please feel free to call us any time during or after the enrollment process.
That's it. Your eligibility will be reviewed by the federal agency that manages Medicare (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, or CMS). Once they give us their approval, we'll mail you a confirmation of your enrollment, as of a specific date. Until we confirm your enrollment, be sure to keep your current supplemental insurance.
